Nov 11: Street Kids x Carhartt WIP presents Swindle
Beijing party crew Street Kids come through with one of their most exciting bookings to date – funky bass god Swindle. The DJ and producer arrives just months after the release of his outstanding Funk & Grime EP which, as the name suggests, fuses funk and grime to spectacular effect. Expect a healthy dose of bass, sure. But we also suspect that there are going to be some feel-good vibes at Migas for this one. And yes, It’s a complete coincidence that he’s in Beijing in the same month as his label’s bosses, Elijah and Skilliam.

Nov 11: Antidote presents Gqom Oh Showcase Tour
If you haven’t heard it before, gqom is huge in South Africa’s electronic music scene. And it’s now taking the world by storm. Antidote's Gqom Oh represents the genre’s first-ever world tour. To represent the genre, groundbreaking South African artists Nan Kolè and DJ Lag will be performing at Dada on Friday. So if you’re looking for something new, check it out.

Nov 11: Jochen Miller
The globetrotting electro house, progressive and trance DJ is coming to China. Here’s a vastly shortened version of our interview: Dogs or cats? “I am definitely a dog person.” If you could collaborate with any musician, who would it be? “Chris Martin from Coldplay and Sia are on my bucket list, they are both so inhumanly talented in their writing and singing.” If you had to make another genre of music, what would it be? “I like so many styles of music! Nov 12: High Tone Sound System Dub Invaders China Tour
High Tone has long been bringing dub music to audiences around the world. The group’s ever-evolving sound combines their signature techno beats with an amalgamation of musical styles, from hip-hop to drum and bass to dubstep. They’ll be stopping off at Dada on Saturday night as part of their Dub Invaders China tour.

Nov 12: El Barrio Latino: Maovember Charity Party
Party for a cause on Saturday night. Not only do you get to dance the night away with mambo, rumba and son music, but there will be plenty of drink specials going on, including RMB20 piña colada and spiced rum shots. If you really want to get into the spirit of things you can also buy a grass skirt – which we highly suggest doing – for RMB30. All proceeds from the evening go to either The Library Project or Goodworks.

Nov 12: Club Paradise
Considering we’ve all been freezing our asses of as of late, we appreciate that Mimi e Coco is making a fine attempt to conjure the summer with their Club Paradise event. There will be lots of summer-inspired music provided by DJs Ted Dancin’, Rothwell, Chloë and Saucy. Mimi e Coco is even serving up a special bottled cocktail, aptly called Paradiso.
